Hello

I have been a Mobile DJ Professionally for OVER 20 years now and I manage one of the nations largest entertainment services companies. I have been a Videographer and I am now learning the Trade of Digital Wedding photography just for fun. I started in college on 91.1 FM WBUQ Bloomsburg, PA on the radio that did mobile set ups live on the air and from there I created a thrown together home system with a realistic amp 2 HUGE PVS Speakers and 2 Tech turntables (NOT 1200s until I could afford them a few years later), and a tape deck. I started DJing in Philadelphia on my own for free for friends and family. Since I had a full time job, I needed a second job to get my own apartment in the Late 1980s. I was rejected at that time by a company called Purple Haze in Philadelphia. My bosses girlfriend at the time set up the interview for me because her son was one of the companies top DJs so she said. Well they made me fill out a 20 page survey that took about an hour and never sat and talked with me. They made me wait another 1/2 hour and then some guy came out and said AND I QUOTE " You'll never have what it takes to be a DJ" and he showed me the door. I did not let that stop me, my boss said just call their competitor and interview for them. He knew I would be a good DJ because I DJ'd numerous events for him in the Office beverage association. Ironically one of my friends at the time met the president of not only the city's largest company but they were the largest in the nation (They will not be mentioned by me at all on this network). I called the president at the time and explained what I wanted and exactly what their competitor did. Well they welcomed me with open arms and even helped train and equip me ( I had no Money and the stuff they had was better than what I had thrown together. Now there were always others who paid more or the option of having my own company but the work I got and still get to this day can not be beat as well as the numerous other benefits. I can credit my place in Mexico & my boat to my success. After 4 years with the company I became manager and after 5 later I was put in charge of all of the DJs and the training involved with them.Ya know when I became manager I called the guy at purple haze and thanked him for inspiring me to be all I can be, Purple Haze is no longer in business in Philadelphia. Now the company I work for has turned into a booking agency and there is no more training. I wanted to create this network with my partner J to share everything I or we have learned or accumulated over all the years. I believe fully in KARMA and I want to pay it forward. If I can help 1 DJ then my job is done!

Over the years I had various jobs in the entertainment & music industry. I worked for radio stations like WMMR, WYSP, Eagle 106, WIOQ, Q102, WFIL, POWER 99, KYW, and Smooth jazz 106.1 all of which never paid well, IF I even was paid and if I was even lucky to be on the air. I also worked at many clubs in Philadelphia, New Jersey, Delaware, The Pocono mountains in up state Pennsylvania, and New York. To tell you the truth, It started to bore me. The Drugs, Mobsters, filthy women, the drunks, but worst of all it was always THE SAME DAMN THING. I'm a guy with ADHD (Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) with some OCD (obsessive compulsiveness disease) and for me that's not good because I NEED Change. Well Mobil DJing did that for me.

After being a Mobil DJ for a while I started learning the art of production and music creation and I met my wife who is one of the BEST promoters or sales agent out there. I have worked with many talented artists and Have 1 un-official song to my credit back in 1990 (see if you can find it! You will get a PRIZE!). More recently my partner and best friend Jay have mastered the are of Photo Booths. These things are the NEW (Rubix cube - Cabbage patch dolls - or just the NEW FAD) of The Wedding industry. Not only do we both have successful companies renting these booths but we have also perfected the creation of a table top photo booth model that makes the competition stop and re think what they are doing. Our Booth fits more people, is easier to carry, has less restrictions, we don't require you to buy our ink or paper, looks better, takes better pictures, AND is 1/2 the cost of of the lowest price competitor. I encourage all of you to look at the older posts to find out more.

If I laid out all of the stories that happened to me because of this job it would be enough to fill a book, and that is what I probably do and hopefully with the help of some of you. If it relates to teaching something, I just might share a story or two with all of you which is another good reason to come back and check the posts.

One final thing on the right in the latest activity section there is a button at the bottom of it where you can subscribe to the US DJ Network's RSS feed. If you do not know what it is just click the little blue button and google will walk you through the rest. OH YEAH I highly suggest you all get a Google mail account (GMAIL). It is awesome technology and FREE like WE are. Just think of an rss feed as an online newspaper that you create for yourself to catch up on everything on the internet in one place.

If anyone ever has any questions PLEASE do not hesitate to ask me. Remember NO QUESTION is EVER a stupid one!

Thank You all and God Bless!
